End of Semester

This semester is coming to an end, and i will be leaving to Mexico when it does. I am going to be moving schools, and the system of the school will be different.

Community and Service (Recycling)

Community and Service Activity

The community and service activity i would like to undertake this semester is Recycling. I chose this because i have been in the recycling service program the two years i have been in this school, so i have experience with this. Also another reason is because i have always liked helpng the environment in any way i can.

The recycling program has the procedure of the collection of paper and cardboard. Gathering these two materials, in order to take them to a recycling center where we sell the materials. These are sold by Kilograms. Cardboards price is higher than the price for paper.

IB Orientation

As students in grade 11, we have to be focusing more and more on the future academic options where we will go and study, what we want to major on, what life as an independent is all about. For this we all of grade 11 went on a trip called IB Orientation where we covered all of this topics, a simple and brief introduction to the IB Diploma Programme.

Personal Goals IB 2011-2012

For this year, i plan to have a decently active and well academically organized year. My plan to achieve this is to participate in sports such as SAISA Football, and most probably for the next year as well. Participate and engage in the CAS program for the two years of the IB. Try My hardest in all the subjects selected, and improve. Seek out help if I'm unsure about a topic i don't understand.

IB CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) 2011-2012

A requirement to complete the Diploma Program is two years of participation in the CAS program. The CAS program is a key element, and does not encounter the other classes. CAS can easily be connected with the different IB Leaners Profile. There are different learner profiles for different types of class as well. CAS is not a boring two year long project, Creativity lets you think creatively and innovative. Action, lets you engage in phyisical interaction; and Service, is voluntary exchange of knowledge and the desire to help.
